Seasonal song “Baby, It’s Cold Outside" is increasingly being banned from the airwaves. Do you agree or disagree with the move. Yes or No..

No, the song was made in the 40's and it was more or less on the flirty side of two people in love,
not what the me mes are making it out to be now a days.
It's all in the state of mind!

I too understand it was a two way flirt type of a song, but being written by a man of course, that is the way they were expecting women to act under the circumstances, in the same way they have always done. Women were expected to follow this behaviour and still are expected in society to do the will of a man. Maybe yes the woman was horny and gave in to her animal ways, pretending to not be too forward (is the man the victim here? Notice how the song hints at the defence used in a majority of rape trials), but at the same time, constant badgering to get lucky has it's place in a solid relationship, not as a casual social standard.
But to me it goes further than that. It revolves around bullying, whether passively as in this case or aggressively which passivity sometimes turns into. Bullying was no less prominent then than today, actually more so and who made it acceptable? Society as a whole. Some of the greatest and beloved to this day crooners were colossal bullies and there were some others who simply liked 14 yr old girls because these beloved crooners weren't very good predators of the adult female. But of course that was not a public image. All was like a white sepulchre on the surface but not so in the workplace, schools and homes. Talk about fake, not news, but the whole of society.
I doubt much has changed to this day and once again I ask, who has let this slide all this time. Who let society assume it was ok for the female to be dominated as a form of permitless hunting and often the unwritten property of males, all the way through the schools where girls took their place under the male hierarchy and male dominated clubs such as in athletics with the ol' cheerleader beholden to jock nonsense, right through the adolescent and early adult years into the workplace of secretary vs boss.
I wonder if two men together (or two women together) sang the song, would more people get around to speaking out using the default reason they have been trained to object to? Good old humans, manipulating what we are to believe as good and as evil often as a distraction from one deed to another.

"Who let society assume it was ok for the female to be dominated and often the unwritten property of males.." Some might say God! Isn't man suppose to rule over the female, so to speak, and take care of her? I mean you guys did lose a rib for us ladies.

You prefer to give the word dominate and property a gentle meaning? There are not as many people out there with their relationship heads screwed on right as you may think. Since when does mankind not seek gain at the expense of another. Give 'em an inch they will take a mile. As for the rib, yes women were born of man but that does not give a man any more ownership than does a parent have over a grown child. The responsibility of the male has always been to follow the wiser path determined in the partnership. Of course this does not mean always the woman's viewpoint as they have come to believe.

Speaking of society, it is interesting in the last hour since Sis first posted, almost 20 other people have supposedly viewed the thread, but haven't had the seasonable Christmas bells to respond with a yes or no. I'm hoping society has not finally made us all fearful of having an opinion of our own rather than of the media's.

I stand to be corrected it's now 87% they love the song in America; 13% No sayers, they don't like the song.
In Canada 93% they love the song.
In other countries it's 100% they love the song! WOW!

Does anyone feel we should inform the radio station what the majority people want the song to stay, and that they should start playing the “Baby, It’s Cold Outside" once more?
I think the reason the me mes get away with some of this craziness now a days, is because the rest of us do nothing.

Why do you think we are getting all this attention, but yet no one wants to post?

It Snowed this morning here in Virginia..
8:00 am: I made a snowman. 8:10 - A feminist passed by and asked me why I didn't make a snow woman. 8:15 - So, I made a snow woman. 8:17 - My feminist neighbor complained about the snow woman's voluptuous chest saying it objectified snow women everywhere. 8:20 - The gay couple living nearby threw a hissy fit and moaned it could have been two snow men instead. 8:22 - The transgender man..women...person asked why I didn't just make one snow person with detachable parts. 8:25 - The vegans at the end of the lane complained about the carrot nose, as veggies are food and not to decorate snow figures with. 8:28 - I was being called a racist because the snow couple is white. 8:31 - The middle eastern gent across the road demanded the snow woman be covered up . 8:40 - The Police arrived saying someone had been offended. 8:42 - The feminist neighbor complained again that the broomstick of the snow woman needed to be removed because it depicted women in a domestic role. 8:43 - The council equality officer arrived and threatened me with eviction. 8:45 - TV news crew from ABC showed up. I was asked if I know the difference between snowmen and snow-women? I replied "Snowballs" and am now called a sexist. 9:00 - I was on the News as a suspected terrorist, racist, homophobe sensibility offender, bent on stirring up trouble during difficult weather. 9:10 - I was asked if I have any accomplices. My children were taken by social services. 9:29 - Far left protesters offended by everything marched down the street demanding for me to be arrested.
Moral: There is no moral to this story. It is what we have become all because of snowflakes.
