Son brought a shrimp platter. I made a spinach salad with bacon and cranberries which he loved. Said the cranberries added a taste he enjoyed. We had all the usual from there, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes n sweet potatoes, and gravy and green beans. I didn't fix the asparagus or the mushrooms but did have risotto with mushrooms. Just a taste. Son then cleaned up the kitchen and loaded the dishwasher. Put all food away except the green beans and potatoes and l put them away later. He was so helpful and l just sat and rested.

mmm...sounds good, Tru. Glad you enjoyed your Thanksgiving. We had the close family members over and it was a pleasant day with a great feast. *burp*

Yes Thanksgiving was lovely and we planned to eat out from now on. Tiny kitchen not made for large meals. Any more than 2 people would be dreadful.
WE have rain rain and more rain for next 10 days at least.

Rain is better than fires, right? We just got through a major snowstorm. About 22" here at Chez Geezer. My old snowblower handled it fine. Now the sun is out, it's 30 degrees and the driveway is almost dry.

If you like Chinese food, Chinese restaurants are usually open on Christmas Day.

Love Chinese food but it isn't the same celebratory meal as a good prime rib.

Hey Geezer, you ice skating on your pool now? Up until a few days ago, no. But now it's covered in fresh snow. Ah, but spring isn't that far off.

Only a few days ago our "normal" high and low temperatures were 30 and 14 degrees, our lowest for the winter. For the first time those normal are starting to go up, and also sunset finally is after 5 p.m. C'mon spring!!

It's colder than the ex-wife's stare here this morning, but it's supposed to hit 40 tomorrow. Life is good.

Life is good as long as one has scissors handy to cut open bags they no longer can pull apart as directed.
