Gas Cat: Series tied! Now the nail biting is going to begin as the next win will put the other team against the wall. Both series have been fun to watch.
How have you been enjoying that "new car smell"? Road trips coming up?
Gas prices here have been through the roof. We are close to $4.58/gal up here. Some people are asking the government to lower the tax rates on fuel purchases as we pay about 49 cents / liter on tax alone...highest in the country for eons.

We have more chrysalis that we can count. Butterflies should start emerging soon. And, there are more caterpillars crawling around. Looks like a good crop of Monarch Butterfly this year, if they all survive.

Both teams won on the other team's home-ice. Hope the Lightning can win on home-ice on Saturday.
Actually, I don't like the "new car smell". Will be glad when it goes away! No road trips planned, yet. Still learning all the technology features. Some are only available for 30 to 90 days, so I am not going to bother with them as I don't plan to pay to have those features. There is no charge for the Nav system, but I guess someday there will be a charge to update the maps. The lane departure part of the package is somewhat bothersome, but I will get use to it. There is a road that I drive that has several rough areas so I actually do crossover the right yellow road lane marker on the road to avoid those rough areas. Every time I do the automatic system "pulls" the steering wheel so that I will get back inside the "lines". I guess I'll just start driving over the rough spots in the road!

We have at least nine chrysalis and there are probably more that we cannot find. Had a Monarch butterfly emerge today. Took my annual woodpecker photo yesterday.

Lightbulb1: Hope you have a speedy recovery...good luck with it.
Gas Cat: Looks like the Stanley Cup won't be in the hands of any Canadian team this season as the Jets lost to Las Vegas on what was a nail biter. Las Vegas is the first expansion team to be in the Stanley Cup Finals...what they have done is record breaking.
They'll be rested for whichever team they will face. I think the Lightning/Capitals series has been a slug fest and wouldn't be surprised to see it go the distance. In any case, I've been enjoying the games this year.
As for the new car, lots to learn! I couldn't believe how thick the manual was for my dad's new car at the time. Loaded with features...I'm pretty sure we're still missing a few things.

Yep -- Lightning/Capitals are going the distance with the 7th game being in Tampa tomorrow. We have been having a lot of rain lately and our raining season does not start until June. Guess it started early this year! Saving on the water bill by not having to water the lawn. The people who cut our lawn are going to being earning their money. Actually used the navigation system today. Just told it to take me home. Wanted to see how it work and it works OK but it did not tell me what side of the street my house is on.

Gas Cat: It's nail biting time. Someone will go home disappointed tonight, while the other team plays for the ultimate prize against, of all teams, an amazing expansion team...the Golden Knights. The Knights will be squaring off against the winner of tonight's match on May 28th...game one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
As for navigation, take it with a grain of salt. I've been misdirected in the past...the darn GPS actually got me going around in a wide circle as apparently there was a glitch with the map. And any new road conditions will not show up until the next map update. Anyway, use your own navigation senses as a dependance on high tech can leave you vulrenable when it fails.
Have fun with the new car!

It was an exciting run for the Lightning. To bad it ended last night. If they keep the team together they should make another run for the Cup next season.

Gas Cat: I hope you will continue to follow the NHL playoffs as the two remaining teams are sure to provide a lot of great hockey. Although the Bolts could've been there, fate had it otherwise. The same could be said for the Jets. I believe that the finals will be a battle of the goalies.
Should be another entertaining finals that could also go the distance (wouldn't be surprised if it did).
Nice sunny weather we are currently enjoying although it's not that hot out there. A bit cool for shorts...but this is typical weather for this time of year...so all's normal as normal can be.
I heard that Hurricane season starts up soon for your area Gas Cat...hopefully it won't be as eventful as last year for your region.
