Titanpointe is the code name for the NSA secret surveillance building in Manhattan. It is the most important National Security Agency surveillance site on U.S. soil. Built to withstand a nuclear strike, the 550' tall skyscraper is hidden in plain sight at 33 Thomas Street. Its 29 floors, each 18' tall, with three basement levels, is known as the “Long Lines Building” to passersby. It is not illuminated, has no windows, and stores enough food to feed and shelter 1,500 select people for two weeks in the event of a crisis. Construction began in 1969 and was completed in 1974. This highly fortified concrete and granite-faced skyscraper not only safeguards powerful computers, cables, switchboards, it is the world’s largest covert monitoring hub for surveillance of ALL phone calls, faxes, emails, internet data, social media, satellite communications from multiple countries, companies, international organizations with its data stored indefinitely. ALL domestic communications are monitored by the NSA. It's their job. AT & T, whose logo is over the two front doors which are always locked, was referred to as a "partner" by the Feds and was code named 'Lithium'. Many comm companies freely open their doors to domestic surveillance "in the name of nat'l security." Ed Snowden knew. Now you do too.

December 20, 1864, Confederate forces evacuated Savannah, Georgia, as Union Maj. Gen. William T. Sherman nearly completed his “March to the Sea.” Who knew. Also, I am somehow related to General Sherman who had a cousin raped by a confederate soldier which explains his anger towards the South.

Who Knew???The first day of winter in the Northern Hemisphere is marked by the winter solstice, which occurs on Monday, December 21, 2020, at 5:02 A.M. EST.
For the northern half of Earth (the Northern Hemisphere), the winter solstice occurs annually on December 21 or 22. (For the Southern Hemisphere, the winter solstice occurs on June 20 or 21.) The winter solstice is the day with the fewest hours of sunlight in the whole year, making it the “shortest day” of the year. Thankfully, after we reach the winter solstice, the days begin to once again grow longer and longer until we reach the summer solstice—the first day of summer and the longest day of the year.
Think of it this way: Although the winter solstice means the start of winter, it also means the return of more sunlight. It only gets brighter from here!

McDonalds China has introduced a new Oreo & Spam burger on December 21. It's two slices of Spam topped with crumbles of Oreo-like cookies and a white sauce which some suspect is mayonnaise. China Micky D's lists the price as ¥13.14, or about $2. The burger is available starting today (Monday), but only for a limited time — McDonald’s is only producing 400,000 of them. Who knew?

National Roots Day on December 23rd encourages families to delve into their family history, heritage, and ancestry.
Each year during the holidays is an ideal time to collect family information. While families gather around the table telling stories and sharing memories, someone is sure to be the family historian. It is entirely possible a grandparent, parent, aunt or uncle has already started a family tree and will share with other family members.
Gather photos – and get them labeled before memories fade. Names, places, and dates become fuzzy after a decade or two. Strive to involve every generation. Share struggles and accomplishments. Document stories from one generation to another. Each generation is made up of the previous generation’s efforts, travels, failures, and successes. They help us to be who we are today.
It is often interesting to learn about the lives of our ancestors; where they came from, their struggles, their accomplishments. It is a combination of everyone on the family tree that helps to make the person we are today.
