Still awake.
May try sleeping again soon, starting to feel sleepy. Did take some ZZZQuil out of the house medicine rack.
Got out and took the check to the bank around 2:00 AM. Fed it to the deposit-taking ATM.
Also picked up a "Breakfast on a Bun" and hash brown sticks at Whataburger.
Realized i'd not put on my glasses and drove home very cautiously. Only need glasses for driving in the first place.

Pretty good. After all, it's Good Friday!
Went to bed and fell asleep. Stayed asleep until 9:30 AM.
Filed away yesterday's insurance paperwork and the ATM receipt in my "Flood Insurance" file folder.
AJ and I talked. We have more to do to the house, but the insurance check should easily cover it. I think the fact we used to have hardwood floors goosed up the payment. Everyone was either negative or neutral about putting back in hardwood, so we did the house in light gray tile and dark gray carpet (in the bedrooms). I think I'm going to start nudging AJ to get some crews in to do the stuff he can't do. We'll have plenty of money to pay them now as soon as the check clears.
Made a liter of Sodastream Diet Dr Pete. Probably my favorite, though it might be a tie with the Diet Root Beer.
Used the pop to wash down my morning pills.
Was listening to SiriusXM At Home Classic Vinyl until a couple of minutes after 11:00 AM. Tuned in the ABC 13 11:00 PM news a few minutes late, didn't get to see the first four minutes.

Pretty good.
Lunch today was a Stouffer's Meat Lover's Lasagna, "Satisfying Servings" size. Also had a 12-ounce bottle of OJ and an 11.5-ounce can of V-8 juice.
After lunch was settled down, Chelsea prevailed on me to take a shower. I needed one, the last time I took one I was in Missouri. Speaking of Missouri, I'm now wearing a heather gray Kansas City Chiefs fan T-shirt with red and gold printing. My bottom half is kept decent by a pair of red Nike shorts with white SWOOSH and trim. And I decided to keep running around the house in bare feet.
I'm not a fan of our remaining showering facilities in the house, but they do get you wet. Because of a quirk in the house, it's a foot off the floor to the bottom of the tub. And there's nothing to grab ahold of. Nobody but Isaiah likes the master bathroom tub. It's not a standard size, it's narrower. I kept knocking things in the niches in the tub to the floor of the tub.
I wiped out this morning's liter bottle of pop, so I made a liter of Sodastream Diet Cola. I'm drinking it on the rocks, and the "rocks" are nearly all melted. The little luxury that I most missed post-Harvey was an ice machine! You can drink pop straight out of the bottle or can, but I don't think it's the same.
I think I'm going to have to fend for myself tonight. Chelsea was telling AJ she wasn't in the mood to cook.

It's been a good day! The rain left us, the sun came out, and the temp was moderate.
I'm glad you're liking the site Patty! I still have not had time to start those topics, but I'll get to them.
Chris, yeah, I've played enough to have had the following hand a few times:On some of them, I even got to lay down the loner!

Pretty good afternoon.
My high school yearbooks got wiped out in Harvey. But I ordered replacements from Classmates Yearbook Reprints. They don't have all of the years at my high school, but they had the ones for my junior high and high school years (1968-1973).
Chelsea was going through the master bedroom closet this afternoon and found two boxes of my stuff. One of them was a filing "milk crate" with various colored empty file folders.
The other box had a number of books, CDs, and DVDs in it. Including the Readers' Digest for the year I was born (1955). The pages are beginning to fall apart.
Partway through the afternoon, I decided to put on some shoes. Red Converse "Chuck Taylor" All Star II hightops.
I went out and got the mail. Two packages for Chelsea and a few pieces of junk mail.
UPS had two boxes for me. One had nine bottles of flavoring syrup for Sodastream pop. The ones that I haven't had yet were Diet Ginger Ale and Diet Orange. The other box was two carbon dioxide cylinders for the Sodastream machine. And, surprisingly enough, no packages for Chelsea.
Chelsea insists that I have a pill sorter. I think it's stupid. My pills are very easy to deal with. I think it runs in the family. Chelsea's Mom insisted that I have a pill sorter when I was over there. But, using typical female logic, she insists that my pill bottles are not "cute." I'm worried she's going to come up with a Lilo and Stitch pill sorter.
Chelsea and I went through some stuff in the business room. Didn't get to see TV until about 8:20 PM.
AJ went out and got us all Taco Cabana stuff. Chelsea and Isaiah had chicken flautas. AJ and I had a beef fajita taco salad, but mine didn't have sour cream on it. I cleaned up all of mine.
Watched the last 40-odd minutes of "Tipping Point" on One America News Network. Now watching the FOX 26 9:00 PM late local news. They are doing a story about an inadequate sterilization problem at a local health clinic. They think right now that four patients contracted hepatitis.

Hi: Sandi: It was a day, lol, Sandi. Too busy. I just want to rest and relax. Glad you had a good one ))) Chris: Very busy Chris. Not too much time for myself. I hope I get to post on a few threads tonight. Sneakers: I have not slept well the last two nights myself. So much going on. I cannot believe how much work you have left to do on your house. Thank goodness you have gotten the aid so that you could and can fix it and still live in it. It would have been soooo difficult to have to start all over again. You will get there. Stlhawk: A big congrats on your new grandchild She is a big girl. Glad everything went well. SUVFan: I need to find the time to get an avatar. Yeah, I am having terrible withdrawal symptoms from posting on the other place. It really helped me with stress. I listen to, "A New Day", almost everyday. Bposting is probably like smoking to some people. It is very hard to just stop so suddently. I wish that I stopped on my own awhile back when I was in the disappearing act that was going on there. I was disgusted then too. Lightbulb1: What a good feeling. I need the time to that as well. Applepie2010: Hi there. Were you a member from the other place? Pigeon007: Awesome. Hope u are having a safe trip? Are you still driving? BGJam: I agree with everything you wrote. In reference to this site, it is better than I thought it would be. There are so many nice people on here. Jim: I am glad that you continued the color thread. I am not sure about the alphabetical order thing though. Some dont follow it. Oh, hope you enjoyed your dinner. Waubeek: I work alot too. I can certainly relate. Hope you have some time off this weekend. Have a wonderful weekend Everyone. Be happy, healthy and safe. Thanks sooooo much for stopping by.
