Thanks BG! 26 miles today with two Tour de Cure people. Actually, one is the one in charge of the Tour de Cure, and her hubby, who is the chair of the route committee, that I am on. 26°F, mostly clear skies, and windy. 1,236 miles of climbing. Route was good. I like it. The last 40 miles of the 100 mile route will be there hardest. 23 miles we did today are part of that last 40. Great day. I the past 24 hours, my Tour de Cure team has grown by 6 people. 3 people that haven't been involved in the Tour de Cure for a few years. Pretty cool. And, they were not on my team in the past.

YES! 13.2 miles today, with the temp at 28°F, windy, and then a blizzard. Seemed like the wind changed directions, and I rode against it most of the way.
BG, hard to say. I think so. I hope so. One of my largest donors, left the company he worked for, and is now a contractor with a new company. This company doesn't match. He said he is going to donate, he is my best friend, and been a Type 1 since he was 1 or 2, but I don't know if he will double his donation. I loose a few each year, but gain others. My team picked up 6 more members this weekend, so the team total should go up.

Glad to hear your positive attitude, CG! I'll hit ya up with another donation down the road a bit. I dated a beautiful girl in college (50 years ago) who was a Type 1 diabetic, and she taught me a lot about her situation. We'll talk more about it on Riff Raft, later!

ooh, haven't been here in a little bit. About the time #30daysofbiking started, my bike was deemed unsafe to ride, due to gaping hole, near the bottom bracket of my carbon frame. The LBS (Local Bike Shop) pulled off the cranks to get a better look, and to keep me from possibly killing myself with a shattered carbon frame. So, left it in storage on the mainland, and am shopping bikes here on the islands. So, have only done one ride this month, a tandem ride of 30. We actually set a few personal records LOL Heavier bike---PR's = LOL

BG, we were there until Sun. We drove all day, and got home last night. Missouri & Iowa were rain and snow. Once we crosssed in to MN about 6 pm, it wasn't snowing. When my buddy left my house, about 8, it had started again. Sure do have some interesting photos of our bikes on the back of the car and what the snow and ice and slush did. I am told by this site my photos are too large.
I am now a failure, because I did not ride yesterday. Commuter in the shop, mtn bike covered in ice and tires can't spin, fat bike had no pedals. Hoping today the ice melts in the garage, so I can ride the mtn bike around the block, to get back on track for 30DoB. Rode every day in AR, and had a great times. I sure can feel it in my legs.
sj, good luck shopping!!

Thank you BG. That was a little tongue in cheek, and not really down on myself. Yes, I feel bad, but, it was rather strange circumstances. If, my plan would have worked out, I would have been able to ride Sun am before we left town, but my buddy was a lot earlier than I expected. And, when I got home, my wheels were covered in several inches of ice from the snow on the highway and did not move. Sarcasm is hard to get across typing...
