I'm sure you are Mrs. Sports. but despite the hopes and dreams of fans outside of NE and former players in the media who can't wait it ain't happening yet unless BB and TB retire together before next season.

Define later. Max Kellerman predicted TB's demise two years ago. The cliff he was predicting was that wall Kellerman crashed into.

Who listens to Max Kellerman about football?
I don’t care when the demise occurs. I’m more interested in how. I’m curious to see how Brady or Belichick do without the services of each other. If they retire together, that will be a bore.

I'm surprised about the mass exodus of players. I know its mainly about the cap, but it's tough to replace with rookies. I'm also surprised that Patricia isn't raiding the NE roster for players too. Although, I did see that thug Lagarrette Blount signed there. Hardly the feature back that Detroit desperately needs.

Yeah pretty typical turnover in NE. Amendola took pay cuts to stay 3 years in a row. He knows this will be his last contract and he's actually been playing with a knee injury the past two years. I don't blame him for taking the guarenteed $$. Same with Solder. His kid has health issue and had a number of operations since he was born. He was offered a lot more than the Pats were willing to pay. He will be the hardest to replace but I understand why he left. He got a lot of guaranteed $$ so he and his family are now set for life. Lewis had one injury free year and that was this year when he wasn't over used.
Both Dola and Lewis were carefully monitored for minutes here but won't last the season if they're playing featured minutes. I'll always have a place in my fan heart for Butler. Love the kid but if he plays like he did this year I'll take McCourty. Slater is a Pat for life even if he left for more money. But he's been injured a bunch the past 2 years and he's 32. He's been the best gunner in the league for a decade but injuries and age have a way of catching up to you even if you're not n NFL player. Patterson can do what he does AND return kicks AND run jet sweeps, take hand offs and catch an occasional third down reception.
As for BB and TB I don't predict the future. I can only go by what they've said in the past. BB has said he won't coach in his 70's. He's 65 which would put him at max 5 years. TB has said he wants to play till he's 45. He's 40 now so it looks like barring injury or health issues we may never get to see one without the other.

And with Tommy getting older and not able to make all the throws he use to, this could be the beginning of the end.

LOL yeah his 500 yards in the SB and league MVP showed he can't make the throws any more.

I didn't say he couldn't make all the throws, just some of them. And putting up 500 yards means nothing when you lose.

One good point and the other not so good. I haven't seen him not be able to make some throws. He's actually gotten better the past couple years at throwing deeper down the field. On 500 yards meaning nothing in a loss I agree. He did connect on a variety of throws short medium and deep in that game that indicates he can still make them. If the D played even decent D the 500 yards would have meant a lot. But woulda shoulda coulda measns less than 500 in a loss.

Just another example of how stats only give part of a story. Who gets the blame for the forced fumble on Brady? Certainly not the Pats defense.

No argument from me on stats. A player can have better stats one game, not play well and lose or have not as good a stat day but play better in key situations and win. But there's no denying the Pats D put the offense in a bad position at the end of the game down a score with 2 minutes left with pass only options.

I think we all just want to see the fall of NE. It is just like seeing the fall of Duke. Or any other successful sports team. Can't wait for it to happen. I actually would like to see TB get hit in a Steelers game. Sack and forced fumble for the win for the Steelers with TB on the ground and career over. Or with my Packers doing that as well. That would be a great ending.

That would be awesome sports! Make TB look like a bloodied Y.A. Title in the endzone at Heinz Field. I get the stats part. Ben's was pedestrian in the Seattle SB win, but he played great up to that point. We call it being joyous in the Pats misery (especially the 2 NYG SB losses), but fresh and his ilk, will say it's jealousy. I will give props for Kraft lending his jet to the FLA kids though.
