Two more issues of mentally challenged people attacking someone because of religion. Anti-semetic attacks in New York and another church shooter in Texas. When will we start as a country deal with these people with mental health issues?

Even the sanest Trump supporters are pretty borderline.

Everyone overreacting to COVID-19 and the media isn't helping much. Response all out of proportion to the problem.

My housemate has observed me. He says I start flipping out every time I watch the news. Although he went out this afternoon expecting things to be a ghost town and he said there was a lot of people out and about. Admittedly, COVID-19 numbers are low in Metro Houston.

Commissioners Court for Harris County spent $50,000,000 setting up an emergency field hospital in the parking lot of NRG Stadium (just south of the Texas Medical Center). When the patient demand didn't materialize, it was torn down without having a single patient. Your tax dollars at work.

They're now saying that suicide rates may go up significantly in response to COVID-19. Good old fashioned traditional crime is already up in Houston. It went down for a few weeks but went higher. At least with most things shut down there's no mass shootings to report.

Still in medical limbo with my CPAP. Need to be patient and AJ needs to be tolerant of me sleeping sitting up on the sofa. He says I'm hard on it but I would think no harder than sitting on in in the first place. Anyway, we get a sofa to use!

Have been sleeping in bed all but one night ever since my pdoc added a new medication to what I take on the 2nd of September. The one night I missed I went to sleep watching the evening news in the living room and stayed asleep for several hours. Need to call her office to get a telemedicine visit prior to the end of the month. She's usually pretty good about getting you in to see her, she prescribed the new medication after talking to me on the phone. I've been going to her since September 1998.

We need a multi-faceted approach. First of all, we need single payer health insurance, so everyone can afford treatment. Then we need to examine in detail our childrearing practices, both in the home and in the schools. We also need to check the possibility that environmental pollutants might be affecting our children's mental health. It would also help if we made marijuana legal and revamped our other drug laws so that they didn't just repeat the failures of Prohibition. Finally, we need to repeal most of our worthless gun laws and implement constitutional carry nationwide. As Heinlein stated: "an armed society is a polite society". And a polite society encourages politeness in its children, something our society seems to have forgotten.
