As soon as the rain stops, I will be refilling the grape jelly for the orioles. It was refilled yesterday afternoon and is almost empty already. Also adding more orange slices.

Grape jelly was added this morning, and about 4 PM this afternoon.

I had added grape jelly again yesterday morning, but when I checked the feeder in the late afternoon it was mostly still there. I am wondering if the orioles have stopped their jelly feed like other years and moved to something else for their needs.

My next door neighbors saw 2 orioles on my feeder last evening, so I filled things and am trying again.

Never saw one yesterday, so I think the orioles are done visiting for grape jelly.

More hummingbirds are in the area now. Getting more visits at the feeder from both sexes. The neighbor next door is getting lots of visits on his feeders too.

It will be time again to clean and refill the hummingbird feeders. The main feeder level has gone down about 2 inches.

The birds have been really chowing down at the seed feeders lately. Perhaps some young have fledged and are showing up.

The birds are really eating. I filled the feeders 2 days ago and again today. Time to buy more seed.

I bought a larger squirrel baffler and installed that today. Being an extra 3 inches in diameter (18 inch), I think this one might keep those pests away from the feeder.

I still haven't seen a squirrel test that baffler yet.

Birds are really eating up the seed. I refilled again this morning. Tomorrow, I will need to clean and refill the hummingbird feeders.

The hummingbird feeders have been refilled twice this past week. It seems like there is another at the feeder within seconds of another leaving at times.

The hummingbirds are still showing at the feeders, and will be around for another week or so.

The hummingbirds have been gone for almost 2 weeks, and now I will be looking for the dark-eyed juncos to show, signaling the upcoming winter.
