Watching the KPRC Channel 2 morning news. Still no TV remote. Have you asked for a replacement? Yes. Going to have to nag them again. Fortunately, Channel 2 is pretty good programming.

..Hi, Sneakers. If I remember correctly, part of a care facility's rating comes from the number of reported pressure sores. So they have extra incentive to get you healed up. Your "uniform of the day" today sounds a lot more comfortable than a hospital gown. Maybe your remote will turn up soon. Think of all the remotes in that building. I wonder if it would survive a trip through the laundry cycle.
My uniform of the day is more becoming than a hospital gown but it requires more effort to pee. I think I need to remind the staff that I have no remote. Electronics usually don’t survive a trip through the washing machine. Went and got a bottle of Diet Dr Pepper before lunch. Lunch was vegetable soup, a bone-in pork chop, mashed potatoes, green beans, peach pie, and iced tea. Ate it all.

lorando (NW PA), this is a busy week for sports. Not that I follow it, but college football is starting up soon too. Your area has a Stone-Skipping Festival? With a Pro division? Can't say I knew about that. There is also a World Rock Paper Scissors Association. They host Professional Rock Paper Scissors Tournaments all around the world. When I was a kid, it seemed like the first day of school was never sunny. Just overcast and gloomy. Fingers crossed it will be a nice first week weatherwise. soutxed, there must be so many school buses everywhere. Some do get a second life. Are you taking part in the high school football season this year? The Astros are winning more than losing at the right part of the season. They have definitely made up for the slow start they had. patty7841, I should have a look at my bus soon and see how it is. There are a number of new stops on my route, but someone them are just closer to the students I already had. But not all of them. Can't wait to get a student list. My bowling team will be short two players to start the season. On Wednesday, one of my teammates will be having a knee operation. He has be waiting for at least a year and it will finally happen. Take care everyone.

Good Morning, Sneakers. A chilly start to the day. It was in the 40s when I got up, but it's recovering nicely, with lots of sunshine. Another day, another infusion (or 2). With the PICC line in place, it probably isn't too much of an irritant for you. I know--that's easy for me to say. Watched the Yankee game on a regular cable channel last night, since they were playing Cleveland. I got tired and went to bed after 6 innings, but the Guardians won in 12. Cleveland is no longer an easy win.
Hello, Uncle. A Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament you say. Could there be any strategy involved? In a far off galaxy, there's probably a scouting report saying that It's amazing what these humans will do to entertain themselves. Hope your bowling teammate has successful knee surgery today. Will he miss the whole bowling season? Maybe he could make a guest appearance just as a morale booster. Not much going on here today; I already finished the only errand I had to run, but I have a book to read that's not very good so far. Hopefully it will get better, but I kind of doubt it! Enjoy your day.

HOT here. It was in the lower 80s this morning with the heat index in the upper 80s. Just saw the three o’clock news. Temperature 102 degrees with a heat index of 113. The staff started the daily infusions before breakfast and they finished about lunchtime. Only really feel the PICC when I rub up against it. They have given me antibiotic eye drops for my pinkeye in the right eye. still no remote control for the TV. Got up, grabbed hold of the walker, and walked to the toilet. Had no trouble doing what I went there for. AJ called me. No FedEx package yet.

Isaiah got his non-driver state ID card today. The last time he tried, he needed for me to go in and vouch that he lives with me. That day was the day I went in the hospital. He got the Harris County social worker that helps AJ with things to vouch for him.
It looks like he will be able to get a job at Macy’s with the ID.
Just saw the weather guess. NOAA is no longer issuing Excessive Heat Warnings. They have dropped back to a Heat Advisory. The long term weather guess says cooling down and rain next week.
Went to the pop machine a bit ago. No Diet Coke or Diet Dr Pepper in the machine.Got a Lipton Peach Iced Tea.
Sitting up in the wheelchair right now. Got tired of being in bed.
Drank all the water in the water cup. Now have to wait until the ice melts.

Uncle: I don't remember my early, early days of school, as I was a bused student for 9 years. Kept the bus company busy. However, I had to walk to the high school and there were many days where it rained. I remember a woman saw me walking and offered me a ride. It was absolutely pouring that day, so I gladly accepted. I would never do that these days though. Other days, I just had to walk whatever the weather was (rainy, snowy, icy, etc). I was not a spoiled child to say the least. That is too bad that the the guy, who was on your bowling team, had to wait almost a whole year for the knee replacement procedure. Healthcare must be horrendous everywhere, even in Canada.
lorando: Rock Paper Scissors is a game that I think is played by kids to build up their confidence level through grade and high school. It is played in groups. There was a small company, in a building I used to work at, and the woman, who was a therapist, ran groups of young to older students (high school) for games that lasted an hour or so. It was awhile back that I worked for this company, so I am going by memory. I used to see the kids coming in to her small office. I had to look it up one day on Google as I had no clue as to what it involved. It is cool here at night and warm days here, just like Fall. As long as there are no stink bugs. So many people tell me that they have not seen any this year. Hope it stays that way.
Sneakers: That is great that Isaiah got his nondriver's ID. Wishing him lots of luck getting a job at Macy's. But I am sure that he will be fine. Hope your eye gets better soon.
Soutxed: Glad to hear that your wife's physical went well. Enjoy your trip. Be safe.
Have a good evening Everyone!!

It will be his third job. He has previously worked at JCPenney and Dick’s Sporting Goods. I did his income taxes the past two years on my TurboTax. The nonprofessional version will do five returns and with him I only do two. He got back his income tax withholding both times. I told him it was good that they withheld FICA taxes because they help to pay my Medicare and Social Security that helps me keep a roof over his head and me in the hospital. He is unbanked, so he got a check both years. He endorsed them over to me and I took them to my local bank. Hopefully, he will get a bank account this time. There are numerous credit unions he could go to and open an account. I have had the eye drops three times. i am watching the Democratic National Convention.

I had a quarter mile walk down our driveway to catch the bus. If it was raining, Mom would take me to the end of the driveway in the car. I remember one morning when it looked like rain. Mom had heard the weather guess and it only said a ten percent chance of rain and didn’t take me down. That day, the ten percent chance came drizzling down.

Sneakers--I had a friend in the hospital in MCAllen where he only got two channels, ABC and Telemundo. He was bored. Brought him a couple of books to read. Took Tablet to watch a Vipers game. Left his room to get something out of the car and came back at 8:01 PM. Mean Security Guard wouldn't let me go get my tablet. Begged her as I needed it the next day. She got called away and I got on elevator.
Patty--I walked in the rain when I was in school. HS was too far to walk, but mother would park several blocks from HS to pick me up to avoid the traffic.
Uncle--Astros lost to the series to the Red Sox. Good luck with bowling.
Lorando--A college usually is a good economic boost to a community.
Concert was great and what we needed. Manilow does a great job. Hotel was nice but had only a couple of electrical outlets. Had to charge ohone seperately. Have something, I could have taken to help but figured this hotel we would not need it.
Football starts tonight and will be working games for the season.

My remote control went missing and I am getting KPRC Channel 2 (NBC) 24x7. So far, no luck at getting a replacement. Found out we do have Wi-Fi here, got the password at the front desk. They have it posted . Better than the cellular broadband data, sometimes it wouldn’t connect. My roommate went home this morning. Last night, he was watching TV with the volume set to eleven. Only could hear the Democratic National Convention when his Tv wasn’t drowning it out. Pop machine is out of Diet Coke and Diet Dr Pepper, so this morning I got a Lipton peach iced tea. Before lunch, I got my rashes treated with zinc oxide cream and some sort of powder. First daily IV done, still connected. Waiting for them to disconnect my first IV and connect the second.

Nurse asked me if I wanted a snow cone and what flavor. I asked her what they had and I thought cherry sounded the best. So, I just finished up a cherry snow cone in a Styrofoam cup.

Nurse disconnected the first IV and connected the second. She asked me why my lips were bright red. I told her that I just ate a cherry snow cone.
AJ just called me. Isaiah got the job at Macy’s but they didn’t mention a start date. He also told me my letter from Century Law Firm arrived.
i am sitting in the wheelchair, my bed was stripped by the staff. They wiped it down and they’re letting it dry.

Staff has made the bed. I am still in the wheelchair, no hurry to get in bed.
Got supper that was different from that listed on the menu slip. The vegetables were better, they said we were going to have diced baked potatoes but we got mashed potatoes. Cut up the chicken into bite size pieces and dredged them in the mashed potatoes. Ate and drank everything.
Had shirt off and got cold. Put it back on.

Hello:
Soutxed: I did not realize that you were going to a concert to see Barry Manilow. I have a sister in NH who used to travel to all his concerts. She was in love with the guy. Goodness, she was up on the stage with him at one concert. Not sure why? His music is nice though. Glad you enjoyed it.
Sneakers: A big congrats to Isaiah getting a job at Macy's. He seems to be a hard worker but he just needed the right paperwork to get another job!!!! I hope they treat him well.
Need to have a short message as my computer is breaking down. Supposed to get the new one set up on Saturday. Not sure if that is happening.
Good Night!
