Schools busing gave me a busy week.
Tuesday bowling went okay.
I remembered my knee brace this time.
Last night's blood donation was okay as well, except, after the donation was completed,
they ask you stay for 5 minutes.
During that 5 minutes, one of the nurses thought I was bleeding, but I thought not.
After about a minute, she noticed I was bleeding, but not from where I thought.
The nurse that took care of the after donation procedure, did it a little to quickly.
They had to re-do the gauze and wrap it again.
No real problem was caused, but I'm glad that second nurse noticed.
Tuesday afternoon was a long one.
Simply because a student rode the bus when he shouldn't have.
This student never used the bus in the afternoon last year and he wasn't supposed to this time.
We waited for his mother to come, but she wasn't at his old stop, or his new.
They moved during the summer.
The reason why it was a long afternoon was, drivers have to call dispatch to get directions on what to do.
They had so many calls it took a very long time, perhaps 40 minutes to get my problem resolved.
In the end, I had to take him back to the school.
Since then, other than new students, the week end smoothly.
Seem to have a good set of new parents and students.
I got a PA mic on my bus again.
When students at the back aren't sitting down for instance, they will hear me now.
Also, nice to see Jimmy Kimmel back doing his show.
He takes the summer off and he hasn't forgotten about Donald Trump.
soutxed, when you had those meetings before school started, time must have dragged on for you.
Doing your actually teaching make the day go faster?
I know teachers have told me days when the students aren't there for a professional day, time goes by slowly.
lorando (NW PA), just like I thought, the Stampeders lost to the Elks.
The Calgary QB threw 4 interceptions.
They might be going with another QB for Saturday's rematch.
Final score was 35-20.
Every one on my student list is riding.
That has never happened before.
Two names of students that were on there last year and never rode, are riding, plus one other.
The extra student will be on another route as well, due to parents being divorced.
patty7841, the first few days, I'd found I'd forgotten my routine with little things.
By Friday I'm back to normal.
One problem on day one, after the morning run, my bus had a flat tire.
There are two tires on each side at the back.
The left side inside tire didn't sound right when I hit it with a broom, which we do on a regular basis to check if the tire is flat.
Sounded okay first thing, but not after I parked in the yard.
I could move it side to side, which is not good.
So I didn't have my regular bus until Wednesday afternoon.
Then again on Thursday, my bus was used for a public charter, which is unusual for a weekday.
In fact, it's being used this weekend again for a public charter.
Every bus is registered to do a school route, but only some can be used for anything else.
Mine is one of those buses.
Thursday was a small problem in using a spare bus.
With new parents and students, they were not sure if my bus was the one for them.
Friday was so nice being able to use my regular unit.
Sorry for the long post.
TGIF!
Take care everyone.
