Good Morning, Sneakers. I have to say that your meals sound delicious, even if it is institutional fare. Sounds like you'll have lots of mail to open when you get home. If it's like my mail, most of it will hit the trash can or shredder at first glance. Glad your temps are moderating, even though you're in a controlled environment. Do they seem to vary the day and night temps, or keep it the same 24/7? My heating/cooling system should get a rest for the next week or so, with mild days and cool nights.
I basically eat everything except what I don't like in the first place.
Don't seem to have a lot of mail piling up at home. I think today we had one piece of junk mail for me, two letters for AJ, and one for Michelle.
It's cooler at night. During the day, I'm comfortable with bare arms but at night I'll take my ThinkPad and disappear under a blanket.

Soutxed: That was good that you called the EMS due to your breathing issues. I am glad that nothing was seriously wrong. That can be very scary. Better to not drive when you feel breathless. I hope that your doctor's appointment went well to have your medication changed. I used to get short of breath, but I have an issue with my legs so I don't move as rapidly. Therefore, I don't get out of breath. Don't know if that is good or bad.
Sneakers: You do have very good meals where you are? I would not have liked the excessive bony chicken either. Not safe as you could swallow a small bone. Good that Isaiah is home. I hope you will go home soon, as well. Physical Therapist must be out sick. It is not like her to miss 2 days in a row with you
lorando: We have cool days and much colder weather at night. Warmer weather for the weekend though. Some of the trees are just starting to change. That is late in coming, as I remember as a kid, the foliage was beautiful and about now we would be raking the leaves that fell off due to a windy day or from a storm.
Uncle: I hope that your bowling went well last night. It has to get better.
Have a good Friday Everyone!!!

It is not like her to miss 2 days in a row with you Ate everything for supper: BBQ beef on a bun, potato salad, green beans, a dinner roll, cinnamon applesauce, and iced tea. A couple of hours later, I went to the vending machines to get a Snapple Apple drink. Good that Isaiah is at home. Tomorrow morning, I'm going to hand AJ my debit card and tell him to get $240 in cash off of it, hopefully will last him until Wednesday. My physical therapist is a little Asian guy.

Taxable brokerage account down 0.09% today.
No physical therapy today.
Got supper about 5:30 PM and ate it all. At 7:00 PM, I went to the vending machines to get a Snapple Apple drink.
Listened to SiriusXM Classic Vinyl until just before 9:00 PM.
Watched the FOX 26 9:00 PM news. While the news was on, AJ called me. Isaiah is back in the hospital with a relapse of his collapsed lung.
Watched the ABC 13 10:00 PM news, "Jimmy Kimmel Live," and Nightline. Will curl up and try to go to sleep after Nightline is over.

Good Morning, Sneakers. My photo card for the driver's license renewal is on Informed Delivery today - finally! Hope it doesn't get lost in all the mail telling me who to vote for. As soon as I check the box, I'll drive/walk over to the local Driver's License Center and get the photo taken and the license. I think your state has a better system. Sorry to hear Isaiah is back in the hospital, and wish him well.
Hello, soutxed. Committee meeting went well, but it went in so many directions, I'll have a tough time organizing it into minutes that are organized (kind of). Turned on the Yankee game, and the game was almost over. Only saw the Guardians' last two batters, but that was enough. I'll check the game time more carefully tonight.
Hi, Patty. Hope you have time to get out and enjoy the sunshine today. We have identical forecasts, but you're about 5 degrees warmer. Both sound good to me.

Finally got a release date from the rehab. Next Tuesday. I have an appointment with Dr. Clause early in the morning that day.
Getting money to AJ. Had to go to an automated phone system and set the PIN for my debit card.
Lunch was breaded white fish, crinkle-cut French fries, pineapple coleslaw, peach cobbler, and iced tea. Consumed everything.
Taxable brokerage account up 0.61% so far today; about an hour and forty-five minutes before the stock market closes for the weekend.
Physical therapy hasn't shown by 1:20 PM.

AJ got his cash from the Webster HEB ATM. He can get food now.
He is going to bring the debit card back to me this afternoon or tomorrow morning. I hope he brings it back this afternoon so I can make a trip to the pop machine.
Two members of the nursing staff here bandaged my left foot.
Michelle cleaned up my bedroom. Which is good for me, I don't move that well any more.

Looked at Informed Delivery for today. Not much in Friday's snail mail for me. Tuesday, I'll get to go home and go through the accumulated snail mail.
Michelle got bored again, she decided to clean my bedroom. There are a number of loose items sitting next to the window. AJ said that I will need to not let the bedroom deteriorate.
AJ was able to withdraw funds from my debit card at HEB. Called him up and asked him to bring back the card so I can visit the pop machine. The other card that I have currently has a zero balance.
Isaiah is coming back home this afternoon.

Bowling went well Tuesday. All three games were above my average. Bad part was, found out our new teammate for this season isn't playing anymore. Not sure why, but she did have an injury that was causing her a few problems. Curling Wednesday was another win. We're 3 and 0 to start the season. Got two in the 6th end to lead by one and the other team thought they would concede. Thursday's blood donation was another incomplete one. Only donated 410ml, instead of the maximum of 896ml. The blood wasn't flowing constantly, so we called it. I'm always worried things could go so wrong I wouldn't be eligible for 8 weeks. I'll be back next week. Drove home Wednesday morning from work with no problem. In the afternoon, I started my car and it immediately told me one tire was low on air. It was completely flat. Must have deflated during the morning while I was home. Was very lucky that a friend in my building was about to go somewhere. She gave me a ride to work. A friend at work game me a ride home and back to work the next morning and home again. Got help inflating the tire and immediately drove over to repair the it. That is the second flat I've got in the past six months. Sure hope I don't get another one for years. I've had my share. soutxed, what do the Texans have the Cowboys don't? A better GM, if you know what I mean. I finally had a good evening of bowling. My average for the night was 148, which is 17 above my average. Glad your bloodwork had no issues. That is scary having breathing problems. Sure hope they figure out the cause. lorando (NW PA), for Russell Wilson's sake, sure hope the Steelers don't have a losing streak. Hope he does well. He's suppose to be the guy. As I write this, the Yankees are fairing well. Should take the series eventually. Can't figure out the Mets. Can they win the LCS or not? Had a good evening of bowling. Also paid for a bunch of coupons I can use at the bowling alley. Such as $5 off a meal, a free 16 oz. drink or free fries, as well as a few other things. Cost was $12. patty7841, my bowing did get better. Fingers crossed it continues next week. Thanks for the encouragement. The last stop on my route forces me to go down a narrow road. It should have been eliminated by now, due to no student using it. Found out Wednesday now there is a student using it. Darn the luck. Guess I'll have to live with it. TGIF! Take care everyone.

Thanks everyone for the good wishes. Went back to the doctor yesterday as a walk in and it took most of the morning. Had an X-ray last week done at the hospital and they haven't released the results to the doctor. Part of what took so long was the doctor was on the phone with radiology and getting nowhere. I feel better today but still can get winded. Much of the discussion was how bad the older hospital has become since being taken over by a major hospital corporation. One doctor said she use to work there but left to private practice as profits were more important than patient care. Saw an article a few months ago where this seems to be the norm. Sneakers, hopefully the Methodist church still runs that hospital in Houston.
Sister with cancer won't call the insurance company. Says she doesn't know how and she can take care of it herself. She is eating less and sometimes seem ready to let it go. Youngest sister helps caretaker sister and then a neighbor who is married to one of our nephews comes in the evening. Wife feels guilty she cannot help as she is taking care of me.
Hopefully by Monday, the doctor will have results of the X-Ray. He prescribed an antibiotic but will wait for results of the X-Ray.
Sneakers, hope Isiah is doing better.
Suppose to cool off today. Everyone has a good weekend. At least the Cowboys can't lose this weekend. Longhorns play another top ten team tonight.

The Methodists still have Houston Methodist. The chaplain there brought me a paperback NIV Bible to have.
Hopefully, the cancer sister knows what she's talking about.
Haven't talked to AJ today, so I don't know how Isaiah is doing.

Last night, I didn't sleep well. Ended out sleeping a lot of the day Saturday. Will probably will stay up late tonight.
Called AJ. Isaiah is sore and doesn't move that good, but he is out of the hospital.
Going to get a shower in a bit.
Tomorrow at noon, the Texans are going to play the Packers at Lambeau Field. A game where I will probably root for who is ahead. The Texans are "our team" around here, but I am a part-owner of the Green Bay Packers. (The Green Bay Packers are the only NFL team with more than 32 owners. They have 537,460 owners.)

Uncle: How great bowling and curling went for you this past Tuesday and Wednesday. Nice to hear some good news. Sorry to hear about your blood donation. I go for a blood test, and sometimes there is no blood in the beginning and sometimes it stops after 1 vial. Not a good situation. I am well hydrated before I get a blood test. That is awful about your flat tire. I have Triple A (AAA). Maybe they are only in NEW England. I have had them since 1994. If my car won't start in the Winter, I call the number and someone will be out within a reasonable amount of tire (usually depending how many emergency calls they have, but usually good service). If the battery is dead, they have batteries free of charge. It comes with the membership. I have had a few flat tires too. I have a spare tire. So what they do, is they change the flat tire and put on the spare. I pay for this service as I don't know a thing about a car. Last Winter, my car would not start and I had to be somewhere fairly soon. It turns out it was the antifreeze for the gas tank. They guy who came stated it is moisture in the gas line that causes the car to not start. There is someway to pump the gas pedal before starting the car, but I had heard that was not good for newer cars (mine is a 2012) so I am not too worried about starting it the wrong way.
Soutxed: Geez, I hope you get your lung X-ray report soon (like this Monday). I had an MRI last Monday, and never got any results which is unusual. Usually the MRI place emails me to let me know the report is online. Nope, I got nothing. The guy who did the MRI did not speak a word of English. Sign of the times. When my co-pays bill comes in the mail, I will not pay it until I get my report. A lot of hospitals are going for profit and lacking in patient care. This will probably be all over this Country soon. It is really a bad situation. No one cares Soutxed. I would not want to be a kid or young adult now.
Sneakers: Hope you get discharged on Tuesday as planned. Good luck!!
Have a nice Sunday Everyone!!!

Sneakers: Hope you get discharged on Tuesday as planned. Good luck!!
Two more days until my discharge day. Slept Sunday morning until just before three o'clock in the morning.
Isaiah is out of the hospital again. AJ told me he was sore and not moving that well, but he is at home.
Our entree in the nursing home last night was a grilled cheese sandwich. Pretty good. Last night, AJ made "chop suey." His doesn't have any uniquely Chinese ingredients. His has canned diced tomatoes, elbow macaroni, and ground beef in it. Cheap, easy, and fast to make. And pretty tasty!
After my shower last night, the staff put me in a disposable diaper and a hospital gown. Covered up with a white blanket because it's a little cool in here. Not cold enough that having my arms above the blanket is particularly cold.
AJ needs to bring back my debit card. Can't go to the vending machine until he does. Feel in the mood for a bottle of Snapple although when I look at the machine I might get something else.

Good Morning, soutxed. You did the right thing seeing your doctor on Friday as a walk in. Let's hope the chest x-ray results are released ASAP, so your doc can make an informed decision about your care.
Hi, Sneakers. You're in your final countdown to getting released. That's good news indeed. Sounds like no physical therapy the past few days was a good clue. My driver's license saga continues. I was in & out of the Photo ID place in 10 minutes, and the workers were very friendly. They could have issued the new license on the spot, but since I have the "Real ID" variety, it takes a few more days, and it should arrive in the mail in a week or so. Everything worked the way it should, but it's surprising how complicated the process is. But these are the time we live in. Hello, Uncle. You sure had a good week bowling. More of the same to you! I listened to the final AL Championship game on the radio, and was so wound up (in a good way), I couldn't sleep. So here I am at 3:50 AM posting. I'll probably take a nap after church and get caught up tomorrow night. That was a bummer finding a flat tire, especially on your way to work. Glad you have good neighbors and co-workers to help out. Two flats in 6 months! That should fill your quota for years to come. My car didn't come with a spare, just a Fix-A-Flat can, and I have a little compressor that's never been out of the box (and I hope it stays that way.)
Morning, Patty. Agreed. I've had AAA for many years, and it's something you pay for and hope you never use. I think I've only had to call them twice over the years, once for a dead battery and once for a flat. Oh, and I almost forgot. Once to get pulled out of a ditch on an icy morning. Luckily not a scratch on the car! Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
