Lorando--Sunday is an early wakeup day for you, how early is that? Yankees lost again last night so just as well that you missed it. Maybe you should ask the congregation to pray for you. I expect someone in church to ask for prayers for the Dallas Cowboys, but I think that is a problem even God can't fix. We only had one parent conference day until we went to a split schedule where we had one set of students before Christmas and another afterward. My last parent night as we called it the mother who gave me a hard time dominated the discussion, and I never got in my talk about how the class would be. The look from other parents was not good. I missed the Spring parent conference as I called in sick.
Sneakers--I have several charging cables. The one for the phone works on several items. Have a couple in a travel case. Nachos sound good right now.
Patty--I made a mistake; I should have said illegals CANNOT vote in elections.
The volleyball games went well. Those 9th grade girls played pretty well. I was impressed.
Amazon and USPS is upsetting me. For the third time this year an Amazon package got lost by the USPS. The first time it was found and delivered a few days late. The second I had to cancel the order, wait for a refund and then reorder. Why Amazon still uses USPS when they have their own trucks is beyond me. As I said before, we stopped doing business with two other merchants would ship only by USPS. Worse was when I got an overdue notice before the package arrived. If Trump is elected, I hope he keeps his promise to abolish the USPS. I know for some it will be an inconvenience, but someone willt take over that job.
Enough rant for one day. Have a good week.

Could not find cell phone charging cord. Got on Amazon and ordered one for delivery last night. It was on my business room desk when I got up. The phone was down to a 3% state of charge so the cord arrived in time. Just checked the phone and the state of charge was up to 100%.
Last night, AJ made a dish of canned diced tomatoes, elbow macaroni, and ground beef in a wok. Some call it “American Goulash” but AJ calls it “Chop Suey.”
About seven o’clock, I took the cell phone and the iPad to the bedroom. Called the family and got no answers. About eight o’clock, my brother Allen looked at his cell phone and called back.
Made a comfort stop and went to sleep before nine o’clock. Woke up and made comfort stops about every sixty to ninety minutes.
Got up at five o’clock and had a right side earache.
I had leaked some in the diaper and decided to put on a fresh diaper and a clean pair of sweatpants. The sweatpants I wore yesterday are a bit too long but the ones I have on now have elastic cuffs around the legs.
Got in the business room and joined the broadcast of Dr. Charles Stanley just as it started.
At six o’clock, ABC 13 started the morning news. Got up during a commercial break and got a partly full jug of sugar free tea. Used it to wash down my daily levothyroxine pill. Drank two tumblers of sugar free tea and finished off the jug.
AJ complained that my desk is getting messy. I’m sorting through the accumulated mail, shredding the stuff I no longer need to keep, and piling up the mail that needs to be acted on. When the box of accumulated mail gets gone through, I will get the box off of the file drawer and put things away.
About eight o’clock, I made a comfort stop. Noticed Isaiah playing video games in the living room.
AJ and Isaiah jumped in the Tundra. AJ was the only one to come back. Suspect Isaiah went to work at Macy’s a couple of hours before they open to the public but I don’t know that for a fact.
Got a little more than an hour to watch ABC 13 and it will be time to watch Cousin Martha’s church service. Last week, my nursing home roommate turned his TV to BLAST and drowned out the end of the sermon.
Going to watch the Houston Texans game at noon. It will be on CBS.

I have multiple charging cables but I could not find the USB-C to USB-C cable that charges my Motorola Android cell phone. If later on I find it I will have a spare. I have learned that USB-C cables last longer than the Lightning cables used on Apple products. The nachos were good. Even the dairy sour cream, which one our participants calls “white death.”

Last shower that I had was a week ago Saturday in the nursing home in the evening. AJ is telling me I need another one and I agree. Will take it between Cousin Martha’s church service and the start of the Texans game. That’s about 45 minutes and the last one I took at home was done in 30 minutes.
Told AJ I have a podiatrist appointment at 10:30 AM tomorrow morning. Will probably go to HEB afterwards.

Good Afternoon, soutxed. That was a good rant. Just enough to make you feel better. You're right. It was just as well I missed Game 2. Now I see why the Dodgers got the nickname, "Dem Bums" in the 30s-50s. I think a sports columnist or cartoonist came up with it.⚾️ I looked up how they got their real name, the "Dodgers". Back in the 1890s the area around their home field was a mess because they were installing and electrifying a new trolly line. The fans had to get through the heavy construction site to get into the field, so they began to called themselves "Trolly Dodgers". The team liked it and changed their name from the Atlantics to the Dodgers. Volleyball can be impressive to watch. Is there Boys' Volleyball too? I'd hate to be at the other end of some of their spikes, boys' or girls'.
Hi, Sneakers - The wired keyboard arrived around 4PM yesterday. I like it, but the keys are closer together than the other one so I'm making a lot of errors. i'll thpe this sentence wotjpit ;pplomg. Translation: I'll type this sentence without looking. But I'll get used to it with a bot pf [ractoce/😀 I remember "American Goulash" when I was a kid, but I never knew it had a name. No wok involved and not much ground beef either. We were a poor family. It was always served on toast! Hope Dr. Clause is pleased with your progress tomorrow.

Hope Dr. Clause is pleased with your progress tomorrow. You have a new keyboard. You will improve with a bot pf [ractose! “American Goulash” is Ed’s name for the dish, “Chop Suey” is AJ’s name for it made in a wok. Never had it on toast. I think Dr. Clause will be happy with how the scar where the big toe was looks, but he may not be after he looks at the oozing but uninflected center toe. It probably shouldn’t have done that but he will probably have Medicare Home Health watching it two or three times a week. I think afterwards AJ and I will go to HEB. Five mouths eat a lot of food!

Soutxed: My sister, who lives in VA, stated that a judge approved illegals and noncitizens the right to vote. So 1600 was the count the other day for those amount of ballots to be counted. Not sure who the judge is, but it wont be the first election with cheating going on. I think it has been going on for years. Who knows or cares. I had issues with Amazon and USPS too. The problem, however, was when I ordered an item from one of Amazon's 3rd party sellers. It was the 3rd party and not USPS. But try to send something certified through the post office. I got a receipt but it always stated it is in transit. I would never know when it got delivered. What did I pay for? What a pain in the *ss!!
Uncle: Hope you are feeling OK after your 2 vaccines Friday. You had an awards meeting on Saturday. I hope you were able to make it.
lorando: I am typing with one hand right now as i have my poor parrot in the other hand. Had retail today and he has been breathing in vaping and weed smoke all day. Have air cleaners but they may be too small as they are not doing the job.
Sneakers: Good luck at Dr. Clause's appointment. I hope Isaiah is OK and he went to work and not the hospital again.
Have a good week.

The wound where the left big toe used to be is all but completely healed. The center toe on the left foot seems to be oozing but the last time a wound care nurse looked at it she said it didn’t look infected. We will need to swing by HEB on the way home. Five mouths eat a lot! Isaiah went to work for a while today and he is in the house and not the hospital.

Ed: When I was growing up in Boston, MA, my family and everyone I know, called macaroni, sauce and pieces of ground beef (chop suey). Nothing Chinese was ever mentioned. It may depend on where you grew up and what people did there. Different areas do different things.

Got my award certificate for 8 years of safe driving. The meal was nice, roast beef and many salads. patty7841, my covid19 vaccine shot felt okay. I did fell a little off Saturday morning, but better in the afternoon. Not sure if it's related, but my left knee was very stiff Sunday morning. Perhaps I hit it against a table leg at the awards ceremony, or it's a side effect from the shot. Not sure. Right now it's still stiff, so I wonder how my week will go. soutxed, not everyone puts on winter tires. They can help in snowy conditions, but can be a hassle to put on. lorando (NW PA), the reaction to the shots were mild. Do have a sore left knee. Not sure it it's related. I'll have to remember to slow down when roads get slippery. Haven't always done that in the past, but have been lucky. Do you think the World Series will be won by the home team each game? As it turns out, the Yankees can't win it at home, but I'm sure you don't mind winning it anyway. Take care everyone.

The Flashman--Welcome, glad to have another Texan. Cowboys were a disappointment.
Sneakers--Glad Isiah went to work and came home okay. Good luck with your doctor appointment today. I envy you can order from Amazon and get the product the next day or even that day. The fastest I get one is three days when it is one of their trucks.
Lorando--At least the Yankees didn't lose yesterday. But the Cowboys looked bad. Time to make changes before the Atlanta game. The Texans managed to hang on and win their game. Gooduck with the new keyboard. I have had this one for years and still have to backspace often. I think I have fat fingers.
Patty--Didn't know a judge approved illegal aliens to vote. Maybe the laws in that state, but there is a federal law that required in federal elections only citizens can vote. Someone needs to appeal the decision.
Uncle--Yes, slow down on wet and icy roads. Do you change the tires yourself or send the car to a service station or tire dealership?
Yesterday was interesting. Made it through the sermon without a breathing attack. Told a story how I couldn't hear a referee's whistle at the end of a game due to crowd noise and the same thing happens as we don't hear God due to the noise around us. A widow of one of the best officals attends our service, so afterward I mentioned to her it was not her husband who called a lot of our games.
Went to eat at a sports bar/restaurant where I can watch multiple games at once. The food is good and I ordered something different. Just as the games were starting, I had another attack. Probably the food I ordered. Can't explain it. Once I felt better we took the food home and finished the meal there. I won't order that sandwich again.
Came home and the truck would not start, New battery is dead, but I think it from lack of driving it. If I hadn't felt bad I would have the neighbor help me puc it so we can jump start it and then drive it on the expressway or something like it.
My rant about USPS paid off. Informed mail said it was coming by 6:30, then 8 PM and then 9PM. Came during halftime of Cowboys game. Was surprised with a night delivery.
Nothing special today. Basketball tomorrow night and football Wednesday, then the rest of the week off. My regular font face was not working for some reason. Oh well, technology.

Good Morning, soutxed. Sounds like the Cowboys are showing their frustration a bit. But all teams go through it! It's not too late for them to figure it out and reboot. Tonight, I'll be switching back and forth between the Steelers/Giants and Yankee/Dodgers games. Hopefully one of my teams will get a "W". Glad your sermon went well. We had 34 people yesterday, which isn't bad for us. Football on Wednesday? That must be an afternoon J.V. game, right? Hope you're feeling better by then. It's got to be tough not knowing when the breathing problem will show up.
Hi, Sneakers. Yeah, the fingers are starting to hit a few more correct keys, but I have to slow down and concentrate on getting that muscle memory retrained. No plans for today, except a walk on the local hiking trail. It's a beautiful, sunny morning in the low 50s, so I don't want to waste it. Leaves are past prime now. Hope your podiatrist appointment turns out well.
Hi, Patty. The next time you send something important, it's probably worth sending it "Certified-Return Receipt Requested". It costs a bit extra, but at least you get a mailed receipt with a signature or stamp of when it was received, and by whom. I won't go into the local post office for anything - too many bad experiences - but there's a small (and friendly) one that's not that much farther away. Hope your parrot is feeling better today.
Hello, Uncle. That's good news that your shot reaction was mild, so you could enjoy a good meal and award ceremony. How's the knee today? I can appreciate your pain. Coincidentally I had a terrible time with muscle cramps in both legs below the knees yesterday and during the night. No idea what brought them on. Fine today. Maybe it was wearing dress shoes to church, after usually wearing sneakers or hiking boots all week. Snow tires get put on tomorrow. We haven't had a really bad winter for quite a few years now, but the township doesn't do a great job on the local roads. Once I reach a state highway, they're usually well plowed. The Yankees are a better road team, so they'll have to come up with another plan to win, other than having home field advantage. Maybe play better! But there's always hope until the last out.
Hi, Flashman. There's always next week!
