Funny anecdote from probably a Costco employee...Read on .... Costco Charges $60.00 a year for their most inexpensive Club Card, some idiot posted in the Rating page for the New Wawa in SW Kendall (Miami) ~~Do not fall for Wawas prices, when Costco a mile away is cheaper !!!~~ 1st of all Costco is just under 2 blocks away, Wawa's prices after their grand opening have stayed at $2.55 a gallon and Costco at $2.48...Figure out their yearly renewal and Wawa has got them by the WAWAs they have !!!! Horrible service at Costco, not opened 24 hrs and always FULL of customers out the back, not ever worth their yearly Club Fee if you consider their gas prices.

I remember the clanging of glass bottles waking me up before dawn from the WaWa milkman twice every week back in the early 1960's. WaWa, Pa. & the WaWa Dairy were about 3 miles from my house on Rt. 1. There were no stores yet but that changed in 1964 when they built a small store on MacDade Blvd. in Folsom, Pa. It was built walking distance from where we lived until 1959.
I'm not sure if the Aston or Brookhaven store was the second WaWa but they were built a couple of years later. The Brookhaven store was 2 miles from my house and the only WaWa I frequented for several years. They became known for their deli.
The last 13 years I've lived in Sheetz country in the Western part of Pa. I always preferred WaWa's hoagies over Sheetz subs until WaWa stopped selling fresh sliced cold cuts and eliminated their daily delivery of over 300,000 fresh made hoagie rolls & opted for frozen day. In essence, WaWa became Sheetz.

Ate at Sheetz today. They sent me a $10 gift card for reaching a certain amount of purchases on my Sheetz credit card. I had two subs & an extra large fountain drink that came in at $9.72. The subs aren't bad but are no comparison to a Delaware Valley hoagie.
Next month I'll be back in the Delaware Valley & intend to visit a WaWa after all these years. I'm sure it won't be the same.

I had a problem recently with Sheetz screwing up my sandwich orders. It was no big deal when they forgot to put things on my sandwiches like tomatoes or added black olives or toasted it when I didn't request that.
But when they didn't add cheese that I paid extra for, I called & complained to the manager. She sent me two coupons each for free hoagies & specialty drinks. A value of over $20. Life is good.

Well, we certainly cannot BLAME Wawa, but Folks today across America gas Prices have skyrocketed with the dammed TAX impossed on Us.
From the $2.45 overnite Price for Regular, it's gone up to $2.69 this PM.
I hate to see what the competition will be at !!!!
At least we KNOW Wawa, will be the LOWEST one !!!
