The Specialist's visit of early this AM went well.It was 4 yrs since the last Urology visit ..No major problems, the Prostate Gland in place and perfectly normal, and The Bladder Sono perfect.
Because of gettin up there in age (Just turned 69) He wants to se me in 12 months, unless problems arise before then.
I just got an email from Quest Labs with my reults from Friday, that means my Primary is getting them also today.
All seems OK

Except the Cholesterol that as usual and all my entire life on the RED..But No Worries...ALL just in my family tree without any history of cardiac failures. In the last 15 yrs I have had 2 CT's of the Arteries done, the last one just 2 yrs ago and always show zero calcifications, thus my Cholesterol readings really are of NO ALARM.

Went to my primary care doctor (dual certified in internal medicine and sleep medicine) yesterday morning.
First time I'd been to him in 2019. He had three prescriptions to refill. He messed up and submitted them to my local pharmacy. Fortunately, I can do a 90-day prescription both at the local pharmacy and at the mail-order pharmacy.
He asked me, "Are you fasted?" I usually don't eat any solid food before lunch. I told him, "I took my morning pills and washed them down with a can of Diet Coke on the rocks." He said, "Close enough." They did a lipid panel (I keep alternating between normal and slightly high), comprehensive metabolic panel, free T4, and TSH. I didn't have any problem with the phlebotomy, usually when I have one my vision gets blurry. Although, when I had my 2018-2019 flu shot, I got blurry vision. They handed me a bottle of water to drink. By the time I got it consumed (it was ice-cold), my vision returned to normal.

Went to Primary family doctor to have two growths removed. Went well but the doctor was singing and huming while doing to cutting and stitching. But neither had cancer so that was the best news.

Had to go back yesterday as one of the growth removals was not looking good. But doctor said it was normal for the procedure.

Went to dentist last Thursday (4/18) for routine cleaning and X-rays. I still have a baby tooth in my mouth. No permanent tooth under it waiting to come out. Since 1978, dentists have been looking at that tooth and saying "it might give you problems in the future." Well, when my dentist looked at the X-rays, he pointed out that there was a problem with the roots of the baby tooth and it needs to come out soon. Going to get that done a week from this Thursday (5/2).

Got an appointment tomorrow morning (made three months ago) with my pdoc. She has had me as a patient since 1998. Usually have a diagnosis code of F31.6 (bipolar affective disorder, mixed).
I'm seriously considering getting a new pdoc because my current one is out of network. But my out-of-network deductible is more than four "every three months" visits cost. So, I'm paying for it all out of pocket. If I get an in-network pdoc, my in-network deductible will apply and I'm fairly close to meeting it for 2019.
Since I'm medically intensive, my medical insurance takes a good bit of interest in me. They first contacted me in April 2017 when I spent nearly a month in the hospital after a MRSA infection. They contacted me again post-Harvey twice because they were wondering if I had any medical service problems. Well, all the pills that I was taking were above water, and I made a point of keeping them above water. I also use a CPAP machine, and it got left behind. Fortunately, it was on a bedside table that was higher than the flood waters. In September 2017, I had a suspicious place on one of my legs that had been in Harvey flood waters; went into my primary care doctor and had him look at it. He had me do a five-day course of topical antibiotics, watching the shade of the wound. I came in wearing a red T-shirt (one of the few clothing items that were not ruined by Harvey) and he said, "If it turns the color of your shirt, come back for another appointment and we'll handle it from there." Fortunately, it faded over the course of antibiotics and it never changed hue.
I do have a dedicated contact point with the medical insurance, but they also have mental health subject matter experts on staff.
I think I want a female pdoc. All the pdocs I have had, except for hospitalist pdocs, were female. It would be preferable if they weren't English as a Second Language. On the other hand, every talker that I've been to has been male.
After I have the pdoc appointment and lunch, I have another medically related appointment in the afternoon. But this one is for a ICD-10 code Z52.0 (platelet donation). One of the phlebotomists at the blood bank was bragging on me. She said, "He'd be in here every week if we could let him." Only 24 times a year, less if they have me donate red cells (which I did as part of my second February donation). Got an eight week break from going to the blood bank because of the red cells.

Morning appointment over. My housemate AJ asked me what was on my agenda for today. When I said pdoc and blood bank, he said the pdoc wouldn’t say I was too crazy to donate. He asked me to pick up some fish food on the way home. So, I will most likely make a HEB run on the way home. Was planning to go Tuesday, but I am out of Diet Coke now, except for the Zesty Blood Orange flavored variety.

They commented my blood pressure was elevated, but I'd taken my blood pressure pills when I walked out the door to drive to the dentist's office about a mile away as the crow flies. Recovery from an extraction is more involved than a filling, but it was dentistry without that infernal drill noise going on!
