How are the Canadian GB's enjoying their extra points over the past month?
Some of you have been earning over 4k points a day, every day, this past week. Some have even done it through the month of Dec.
Your points earning capabilities are notable and some of you are getting ready to make a move up on the leaderboards.

Can any of the Canadian Gas Buddies chime in as to what extra points opportunities are being afforded to those in the Great White North lately?
Did Tim Hortons open a 5,000th store or something?

I live in Canada and I haven’t received any points out of the ordinary but it sure seems like everyone around me on the leaderboard sure is and not just from Canada. The entire website and points system has become just one big complete joke.

So, there is a Canadian based user on GasBuddy who somehow earns an extra 200 points per day (in addition to the any other normal hacking of points). You can see the anonymous user points earning, from last week, in the above prior post as GB3. This week, they've been 3 for 4 on earning this extra 200 points per day. Week of Feb 6, 2022

Canadian GB1, today, managed to get the extra 1,000 weekly bonus points. That's great...except he got those same points earlier this week on Thursday when he earned 3,025 points that day! As a follow-up to my recent post (above this one) Canadian GB3, today, managed to earn 2,325 points - 200 extra points than everyone else. He did take Thur-Fri-Sat off though and just earned his normal 2,025 points on those days. Maybe GB3 will respond here some day and explain how he's able to earn the extra 200 point per day. Further, since he has figured out something that GB (and pd ) is not able to block, why does he not earn an extra 200 points per day, everyday? After all, trying to move from the 1,300's up to the 1,200's is going to take some more effort! |

Did everyone get the extra 3,000 points today? It looks like most (95% of some random user I checked) in the US and Canada were able to get those points today - although I noted that some users did not take the full 3,000 points. I wonder why that is, are they saving that extra click going into Tuesday, to try and get another 3,000 on Tuesday too? Hmmmmmn! (something some other readers might want to think about when the next bonus comes up). On another note, what happened to the Special Challenges thread? Does no one post these special challenges no more? Maybe these special challenges are getting a bit regular. Maybe msienkiewicz (Maryland) should add them to her gbo.freeforums.net/thread/2057/monthly-challenge-forecast thread if we can nail down a pattern. |

It already looks like it's going to be another banner day for three GB's in points earning. We haven't even hit 8pm yet (when the new bonus points start today)...and they're already hitting it out of the park on Points earning at 1:30 PM EST today (Friday, 2/18/22). GB1 - 2,625 points GB2 - 3,825 points GB3 - 4,025 points I wonder if they're setting their phone clock timezone ahead to Moscow time, to go ahead and knock out the 8 pm bonus points - especially GB3, as he's already completed most of his points earnings for today. He was logged on here this morning. Speaking of earning early points: GB1 usually earns his web based 625 points (news articles) between 11pm and 12am (EST) most nights. He's like a few others, who log into the Newfoundland Gas Buddy site at 11pm EST, as that website is an hour ahead of East Coast time. ---> www.newfoundlandgasprices.com/ |

So, yeah...as a follow up to earlier, It was another banner earning day for certain Canadian GB's. Well, not all Canadian GB's - I checked other points earning today of our fellow Canadian GB's to see if this was a Canadian thing and determined nope, it was a normal points earning day for 99.9% of everyone else...except for these three below...and an added bonus GB user from Manitoba who has joined in on the Canadian Extra Points game!  Oh, and for those wondering about the new avatar...I've borrowed a few pics from a user who used to come around here and used to love to direct long signature files at certain users - we'll be scrolling through his pics as a new avatar over the next few weeks!
